About The Good Dog Foundation

The Good Dog Foundation (Good Dog) was founded as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization in 1998.  Good Dog’s mission is to ease human suffering and promote recovery from trauma and stress using animal-assisted therapy services that are recognized as among the most innovative and reliable in the United States. This is accomplished through the use of professionally-trained and supervised volunteer teams who work to aid the healing process in humans and enhance clients’ quality of life.

Over 500 people and their dogs will party in costume on Greenwich Ave. and participate in costume contests, visit exhibitors, enjoy food and beverages, get treats for pets and their parents and more!

Our Puttin' on the Dog Adoptions Festival is an annual event that highlights the important work that Adopt-A-Dog does. 2015 will yet again provide an opportunity to show off the amazing dogs and cats that are available for adoption, raise awareness of the shelter, and extend humane education.
